Types of Modalities

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension.  The force is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue.

Therapeutic

This kind of massage is offered with the goal of obtaining a therapeutic benefit.  The goal is to improve muscle tone, increase flexibility, and loosen muscles.

Swedish

This is the most commonly used form of classical Western massage.  This is used for relaxation, relief of muscle tension, and improvement of circulation and range of motion.

Energy Work

This is a general term for describing all the therapy modalities that are based on energy healing.  They are all focused on the belief that the human body contains many levels of energy and that when stimulated through various techniques, will promote overall health and well-being.

Craniosacral Therapy

This is a holistic healing practice that uses light touch to balance the craniosacral system in the body, which includes the bones, nerves, fluids, and connective tissues of the cranium and spinal area.

Reflexology

This is a system of massaging specific areas of the foot and sometimes the hands in order to promote healing and relieve stress in other parts of the body.

Trigger Point

This is a bodywork technique that involves the application of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body.

90 minutes   -  $120

120 minutes -  $155

However, currently there are introductory massage rates of :

60 minutes - $50

90 minutes - $75

120 minutes - $110
